FINALLY! VOIDLURKER the Industrial doom 3 piece have a EP out called aptly 'Industrial Nightmare', and as the first review of 2020 i couldn't be happier to get my teeth sunk in!!! DOOOOOM!!
Voidlurker are simply straight to the point fuzzy heavy ass doom band with great grooves and uncompromising tones and shrilling biting vocals that tear through the desolate wastes,
The record starts with the title track Industrial Nightmare filling your ears with tectonic vibration letting you know that you are now a lurker in the void wastes of toxic fallout! also my least favorite of the 4 tracks which is a good btw considering its the first track and record flow is important especially with doom.
Jeffery Doomer and Rotten Seed are just doomtastic and heavy as balls the tempos changes in both of these after setting crushingly heavy riffs and structures along with the barren bleak atmosphere are only positives due to doom metal tendency to be repetitive you need those change ups to bring the tracks up a level and keep your interest and get that head banging.
Bitchcraft And Misery is fantastic song and easily my favorite on the record its not only paints a funny image of a miserable grumpy hermit conjuring up vindictive and spells and causing havoc, this track to me stands out from the rest with its well executed tempo changes, more varied riffs and tone this is how debut EP should go grab your attention then just keep blowing your head off.
Overview: Crushingly heavy and as subtle as being hit by a comet with memorable riffs/tracks and GROOVE! for a debut EP i would be proud to release this, keep an eye on Voidlurker they are a force to be reckoned with and WARNING your ears might not be able to handle them.
