We haven't reviewed many hardcore punk bands here at Rifftastic so it always brings me pleasure to get some in our inbox! today's edition is Desenser with their self titled debut EP!
The production on this EP is great and more expected from a full length not a EP so it seems they spared no expense in making a impact which i feel is their entire ethos from just one song! Its high energy fun, heavy and pit centric and the manic punk style has its modern edge that hits like a walrus on a run to the bog after a spicy curry.
The tracks are varied showing off their eclectic style and accessibility for allot of different music fans, which is clever and will serve them well as they move forward through the scene, I heard so many influences in their music its mad, from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Gallows to Dead Kennedys they nod towards what came before them but solidifying themselves as very much their own thing.
Overview: High octane, musically dexterous with allot to say, Desenser aren't messing around they hit all the right spots you want from hardcore punk! definitely a must see live.
