Line Of Fire - 'Nothing In My Way' Album Review

Line Of Fire are a blues hard rock/metal band from Nottingham/Derby UK, i guess its time for rifftastic to get stuck into some good ol rock and roll! The artwork done by very metal art tells you what to expect open road and rock and roll, and its exactly what you get with stompy bluesy grooves reminding you of a heavy 'Clutch' which is never a bad thing. The songs are very straight to the point and full of attitude with classic rock/metal sound with a modern edge, I can literally imagine being on the road in the summer with this blasting! Guaranteed in the running for a solid road trip album for this year.

As expected the album doesn't really surprise you or push any boundaries but it does make perfect atmosphere for laying in a field with friends and beers all the more glorious,

The mix on the album is so punchy and raw sounding but clear and well produced that buffs the songs further giving them a undeniable and unique sound. Lyrically its very to the point and full of attitude there`s no poetry here...

'Fuck Me' made me chuckle a few times while grooving, We can all relate to the fuck that attitude and its quite contagious. I do not think i have a favorite song as of yet since they are all similar sounding but all are bangers so its not a negative, I do believe these are a 'live band' i feel the album gives you an idea but i need the live experience with a beer in the midday sun to truly appreciate them.

Overview: Consistently heavy and a fun listen with some surprisingly melodic moments with awesome sections that can step into the shoes of the rock and roll greats of the past/present. 9/10
