Godthrymm - Dead In The Studio 'EP review'

Godthrymm dropped their latest release and to my pleasant surprise it was a live a studio EP aptly named

'Dead In The Studio' Shall we get into it? yes.

The record opens with 'The Devil I'll Be' distorted dirty riffs, understated yet effective drums and melancholy vocals assimilating together to sow a cold misery making you nod your head in approval.

Next up 'We Are The Dead' genuinely a chilling track with tragic lyrics and execution from hamish accompanied by rhythmic fuzz from danny and wailing guitar really setting the tone and showing the depth and sincerity of the song.

' Cursed Are The Many' Fuzztastic,Heavy, slow and sorrowful some stunning vocal work and musicianship from danny and hamish and winter, the drums really stood out on this one felt like a accumulation of all the tracks so far combined giving the EP a fitting conclusion.

Overview: Haunting melodies, tragic vocals and abrasive distortion, This is what doom is! it resonates with you and makes you feel a deep emotion and this EP did just that.

will be listening out for these tracks next time i see 'Godthrymm' live.

8.5/10 RIFFS
