Ghozer - Ghozer 'EP Review'

Ghozer hail from the west midlands and they combine a mixture of doom and prog with a nice fuzziness to keep you warm at night, They released their debut EP 'Ghozer' and rifftastic will sink its teeth in.

Doom is thriving in recent years so the market and standard is high and to call yourself doom has allot of assumption and expectation etc so how do you stand out? you do what you want as a band and follow no formula and that`s exactly what Ghozer did.

With rhythmic song writing and hypnotic riffs with ethereal vocals guiding you down into a whirl of psychedelic proggy fuzz! These guys have crafted a unique but familiar sound with surprisingly heavy sections that will get you losing your shit.

After losing said shit to 'Moon Boot 1&2' i realized these lads have crafted a fantastic blend of prog and doom which there is not enough of in the oversaturated and wildly popular genre, The influences are all there within tones and sound but the energy and song writing is a different kettle of fish and that's what makes Ghozer stand out.

overview: Fantastic start to bands discography this EP shows professional musicianship and comfortability in what they are playing, its doomy, groovy, fuzzy and psychedelic. what else do you need?

I am excited to catch these guys live when i can, i feel i'll be seeing their name about more often in future.

Also MOON BOOT tho!
