Bodach are a two piece experimental fuzz rock band from UK and having the pleasure of seeing them live you can imagine i was excited to hear their latest release!
Shamanic drone tribal intro was more than welcomed and surprising it had great atmosphere and i thoroughly enjoyed it, thought they turned a corner musically and decided to do tribal fuzz?!
But not long till i hear the signature fuzz and riffs to hit and boy did it almost blow my speakers! that flangebassy tone is ridiculously low! the companion of electronic instrumentation be it synths/FX etc really add a edge to this record and elevate them a step above what they already released.
Every now and then kept getting 80s goth rock vibes be it the song or the vocals unsure if that's their influence but would not surprise me if it was!
This record has a lot of great songwriting and experimental instrumentation which only adds to the eclectic styles they add into each of the tracks.
i thoroughly enjoyed this record and is a fantastic release and shows a next level in songwriting and experimentation from Bodach.
